Who are we?
The GCRN is run by a dedicated team of volunteers with support from the secretary and the administrator.
Lucy Peel MRN – President
Lucy has been in practice as a Naturopath since 2010, gaining a BSc in Naturopathy from the University of Westminster and completing her Masters degree in Nutritional Therapy from Worcester University in 2017. She is based in Somerset and runs her naturopathy clinic in Frome.
Lucy also works for an Australian Naturopathic supplement company, BioMedica, in a practitioner support and training role, supporting UK based naturopaths, nutritional therapists, functional medicine doctors and medical doctors and providing talks and trainings.
She has been registered with the General Council and Register of Naturopaths (GCRN) since her student days at Westminster and has been on the GCRN committee on and off for about 5 years. She was elected President in 2024
Louisa Johnston MRN – Vice President
Lou has been in practice as a Naturopath since 2002, originally from Scotland, she trained in Australia where she graduated from Charles Sturt University with BSc Health Science (Naturopathy)
She is now based in Scotland and runs clinics in Edinburgh & Perth. She ran a large Complementary Clinic in Edinburgh whilst building her practice on her return from life in Australia.
She is passionate about building & supporting all Naturopathic Practices in the UK & Naturopaths coming from overseas to work & practice here.
She has been registered with the General Council and Register for of Naturopaths since 2002. She was elected Vice President in 2024
